U.S. Marshals Arrest Hope Man Wanted for Rape
Texarkana, AR / June 03, 2026 – On Tuesday evening, the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Lance Brewer. Brewer was wanted by the Hope Police Department for rape.
The investigation began on May 12, 2026, when the Hope Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Brewer charging him with one count of rape. The Hope Police Department then requested assistance from the U. S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in locating and arresting Brewer. The Fugitive investigation for Brewer spanned weeks and multiple states. On June 2, 2026, with the assistance of the Hope Police Department, the Eastern District of Texas U. S. Marshals Service, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Homeland Security, Brewer was found at a home in Texarkana, Texas and taken into custody on the outstanding Arkansas warrant for rape.
U.S. Marshals Service task forces combine the efforts of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to locate and arrest the most dangerous fugitives. These task forces are dedicated to reducing violent crime by locating and apprehending wanted criminals. They also serve as the central point for agencies to share information on fugitive matters. In 2024, the U. S. Marshals arrested 74,222 fugitives, cleared 88,765 warrants, which averaged out to around 297 fugitives arrested per day in 2024 alone.
