U.S. Marshals Service Requesting Assistance to Locate Suspect on the Run for Murder
Offering reward up to $5K for info leading to capture
Detroit, MI / March 25, 2026 - The U.S. Marshals Service - Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team is asking the public’s assistance and offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted by the Detroit Police Department for a November 14, 2025 homicide.

Dalvine Nickerson, 20, allegedly shot and killed another individual in an illegal after-hours barbershop in a Detroit School.
He and his brother fled from Detroit Police after being observed at a friend’s apartment.
Nickerson’s brother was apprehended, and Nickerson was able to evade apprehension by local authorities.
Nickerson was last seen in the Redford Township area and is believed to have fled the Metro Detroit Area.
“Nickerson’s alleged crime has demonstrated a clear disregard for the law,” said Owen Cypher, U.S. Marshal of the Eastern District of Michigan. “We will use every resource at our disposal to bring him to justice.”
Nickerson is a Black man, standing 6 feet 2 inches and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and a large tattoo on his neck.

The U.S. Marshals have a long history of providing assistance and expertise to other law enforcement agencies in support of fugitive investigations. The success of U.S. Marshals task force initiatives, combined with the outstanding relationships forged with other law enforcement agencies, has led to the formation of permanent fugitive task forces, as well as ad-hoc task forces in response to unique cases that pose immediate threat to the public. In 2025, U.S. Marshals Service-led fugitive task forces arrested over 73,000 federal, state and local fugitives and cleared nearly 88,000 warrants.
