FBI Offers Reward of Up To $10,000 for Information About the Homicide of Yunique Puckett
March 6, 2026 - The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) San Diego Field Office, Imperial County Resident Agency, in coordination with our law enforcement partners at the Imperial Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Los Angeles Field Division, is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of persons responsible for the homicide of Yunique Marie Puckett in Imperial, California. The ATF is also offering a separate reward of up to $5000, for a total reward available of up to $15,000.
“The FBI is committed to working with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners to find the individuals responsible for this violent crime and bring them to justice,” said Acting Special Agent in Charge TJ Holland of the FBI’s San Diego Field Office. “Any violence against our citizens, in our communities, is unacceptable. The FBI and our partners will work diligently to ensure the killers responsible for Yunique’s death are held accountable in a court of law.”
On Tuesday, January 17, 2017, around 5:00 a.m., law enforcement responded to a reported fire at a residential home in Imperial, California. The Imperial County Fire Department initially responded and extinguished the fire.
Firefighters subsequently located one deceased female victim who was later identified as Yunique Marie Puckett (nee Dorame). During an inspection of the deceased, the Imperial County Sheriff’s Coroner discovered that Yunique had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to her person while in her residence.
“Time does not diminish our responsibility to seek the truth,” said Imperial Police Chief Aaron Reel. “ We are prepared and dedicated to provide the necessary resources to pursue justice.”
“If you have carried information about this case for years, now is the time to unburden yourself,” said District Attorney George Marquez. “We are prepared to listen.”
