Failure to Appear, Failure to Hide, & Refusal to Comply End in Brunswick Arrest by U.S. Marshals
Portland, ME / March 03, 2026 - Today, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Maine Violent Offender Task Force (MVOTF) arrested Nathon Taylor, 47, on multiple State of Maine failure‑to‑appear warrants related to drug charges.
USMS investigators determined that Taylor was hiding in the Brunswick, Maine area. The USMS‑led Maine Violent Offender Task Force, with assistance from the Brunswick Police Department, located Taylor operating a motor vehicle, which was contained by members of the Task Force. Taylor refused to exit the vehicle or comply with repeated commands from Task Force members. Less‑than‑lethal devices were deployed, after which Taylor continued to refuse surrender but was ultimately taken into custody.
“Those who choose to flee merely postpone the inevitable,” said Kevin Neal, Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal for the District of Maine. “The United States Marshals Service, alongside our partners, will exhaust every resource, pursue every lead, and ensure your return to answer the charges you sought to evade. Accountability is unwavering and inescapable.”
The USMS Maine Violent Offender Task Force is comprised of personnel from the U.S. Marshals Service, Maine Department of Corrections, Biddeford Police Department, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Maine National Guard Counterdrug Task Force.
