FBI Dallas Announces Operation Summer Heat Results
October 3, 2025 - FBI Dallas made numerous arrests over the past three months under Operation Summer Heat, a nationwide FBI effort to crush violent crime. In North Texas, the efforts of FBI Dallas resulted in the arrest of several fugitives, including Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Cindy Rodriguez Singh and Cesar Pascual Orozco, who were returned from India and Mexico, respectively. These fugitives were wanted for child sex crimes, murder, and violent robberies, including the robbery of an armored vehicle. FBI Dallas also arrested additional individuals for possession, distribution, and production of child sexual abuse material; violent robberies; drug-related charges; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. FBI Dallas also seized 7 kilograms of fentanyl and 29 firearms.
"Under Operation Summer Heat, FBI Dallas collaborated with our law enforcement partners to apprehend fugitives, seize drugs and firearms, and arrest child predators. We remain committed to protecting our North Texas communities from violent crime," said FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge R. Joseph Rothrock.
Between June 24 and September 20, all 55 FBI field offices participated in the multi-pronged offensive to crush violent crime. The FBI surged resources alongside state and local partners, executing federal warrants on violent criminals and fugitives, dismantling violent gangs, identifying and rescuing child victims, and resolving violent crime cases in Indian Country.
Nationally, Summer Heat led to 8,629 arrests, with more than 6,500 falling under the FBI’s Violent Crime and Gang program. In addition, agents and intelligence professionals investigating violent crimes against children identified or located 1,053 victim children. Summer Heat operations also led to the seizure of 44,569 kilograms of cocaine, 421 kilograms of fentanyl, and 2,281 weapons.
