Finning releases 2025 sustainability report
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Finning International Inc. (TSX: FTT) ( "Finning, " the "Company, " "we, " "us " or "our ") announced today the release of our 2025 Sustainability Report highlighting continued progress in our sustainability performance and objectives.
“2025 was a year of meaningful progress for our business, our people, and the communities and customers we serve. Across Finning, we continued to embed our purpose, Positive Impact, into how we operate, helping us drive product support, build full cycle resilience, and create sustainable growth,” said Kevin Parkes, Finning President and CEO. “We made progress in reducing our GHG emissions, keeping our people safe, investing in the communities where we live and work, and delivering solutions that help our customers advance their own sustainability goals.”
Key highlights from the 2025 report include:
- A 32% reduction in our absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions from a 2017 baseline. Based on our current assumptions, we are on track to meet our 40% target reduction by the end of 2027.
- 30% of graduates hired from our Semillero technician trainee program in Chile were women, supporting gender equity in the mining industry.
- $39.3 million in procurement from Indigenous-owned businesses in Canada.
- Approximately 14,500 components remanufactured to like-new condition, reducing waste and resource use.
- 55% of non-hazardous waste was diverted from the landfill.
- 154 non-profit community organizations supported.
The report also highlights our continued investment in safety, leadership development, and operational efficiency. In 2025, we increased safety-related critical control verifications by 9% compared to 2024 and saw steady growth in product support across the full asset life cycle, supported by increased business activity.
Our Sustainability Report is supplemented by our 2025 Joint Modern Slavery Report and our Sustainability Policy. These documents can be found at: www.finning.com/sustainability
