Anastrozole is the generic equivalent of the brand name breast cancer drug, Arimidex®.
Anastrozole is a highly prescribed non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering estrogen levels in the body to slow down or reverse the growth of specific breast tumors.
