Smile Solutions of Goodlettsville was recently made aware of a data security event involving its former debt recovery vendor of 23 years, NRS. In July 2024, NRS experienced a network outage that resulted in unauthorized access to protected account information. During this breach, information provided by Smile Solutions to NRS for debt collection was accessed and is believed to have been copied.
Upon receiving notice, Smile Solutions of Goodlettsville conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. The potentially impacted files contained personal information including name, address at the time of referral, date of birth, Social Security number, financial account information and relevant details of clinical services required for debt collection.
